The fairy phase doesn't seem to be just a phase. Full blown infatuation with everything Tinker Bell. Its the first thing she says when she sees the TV...and there's at least three requests for the movie per day.
But...what Abby know would happen...but then, how could she...we can't expect her to remember things from a year ago, can we? Two very things happen in September
(1) Most importantly - Mom and Dad celebrate their anniversary.
(2) The start of college football!!
Dad gets excited every year - even though year after year, his team gets, um, embarrassed in big games. Already they were beaten - but at least it wasn't a blow out. Abby had her game face on, though. She pumped up for the game. After a second poopy diaper, she was laying the wood with a little game of football with Dad. She's got mad hits like she was Rod Carew.
September came and went. And, lo and behold, its October! Baby Alert!! Baby Alert!! Mom is aching for the baby to arrive. In order to help things progress, we went to a fall festival for a hay ride. Grandma and Grandpa joined. Dressed in layers for the blizzard-like 59 degrees, they were eager to join Abby on a pumpkin patch adventure.
They also had a petting zoo. Incidentally, Abby wasn't too up on the idea of petting...or touching anything. She did see a donkey feeding from its mother and tried to explain to me how it worked.
We all had fun. Abby got some pumpkins. Mom got smores. Mammaw and Pappaw got cold. And the three (plus fetus) of us got a sweet picture in front of a Hyundai.
